Trying to find a great new experience for that horse crazy child?
Sign up for one (or more!) of our summer horse camps!
Spend the week at St. Croix Training Center working with select staff. Participants will experience St. Croix’s principles of horsemanship that teach a well rounded approach to working with horses from the ground up. They will learn about breeds, riding disciplines, horse handling, and horse care and health. Horse handling will include showmanship and lounging. Horse care and health will include a farrier demonstration, bathing, cleaning stalls, and nutrition. And, of course, participants' favorite part is learning how to ride a horse and spending lots of time with their horses! They will also play plenty of games and have fun doing horse crafts.
On the last day of camp, parents and other family and friends are invited to attend a mock horse show at 12:30pm where they will have the opportunity to see what their children have accomplished over the week. It is typically the highlight of the week for both campers and their parents.
All camp participants receive a St. Croix Camp t-shirt!
Ages: 6 - 13
Experience: Camp is ideal for every level of rider whether new to horses or quite comfortable in the saddle.
Cost: $400.00 per week (credit cards accepted with a $15 convenience fee) $350.00/child for families with multiple children
Time: 9 a.m.—2 p.m.
**To accommodate working parents, campers may stay after their camp session ends at 2 p.m. for an additional fee, which is $15 for each hour, or if you wish to have your child stay until 5pm each day (excluding Friday), we simply add $120 to the camp fee for the week. It's a great deal! **
Lunch: Bring a bag lunch and plenty to drink!
Attire: Please wear jeans or riding pants, along with a hard sole shoe with a heel. Bring a helmet if you have access to one, or if not, we have some available.
