Group Programs!
Participants in our group programs will have the chance to ride, work and learn about the horse industry in a way consistent with the mission of some of the leading youth organizations in the community.
Founder of St. Croix Training Center, Gail Simpson, has been in the horse industry literally her entire life. She’s built a staff of people that understands the affection and affinity youth can have in working with horses. She knows that when youth are engaged, interested and excited about something, they invest their energies and intellect fully to pursuing what has their attention. Our Group Programs are designed to capture that attention – harnessing that energy into the pursuit of positively working and learning about horses, while improving their own perspective, self-confidence and respect for others.
St. Croix Training Center is built on the belief that when working with youth, in particular, it's not just about learning how to ride or improving the skills they already have. Our programs are comprised of modules that cover such topics as Horse Handling & Approach, Nutrition & Health, and Barn Maintenance and Care. We’re also big on Ground Work, Respect for Yourself, Others & the Horse, and Team Work.
Our goal is to partner with the schools, churches and school-age care organizations within our community to complement existing programs whether students come for a day, week, a month or even longer. Individuals are also welcome to sign up independently. If you have questions, or wish to register, Contact Us or give us a call at the barn, 651/436-2414 or 715/386-1460.
Age Group: 6 to 18
Cost: Cost for program is based on size of group and amount of time spent with us.
